On behalf of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to The Open University of Hong Kong on the happy occasion of its 30th anniversary. As the first self-financed university established by the Hong Kong Government, OUHK has evolved from a local distance-learning institution into a leading provider of open and flexible education in the Asia-Pacific region. Over the years, the University has nurtured more than 120,000 professionals through its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and has dedicated efforts to advancing innovative research.
