The Open University of Hong Kong is truly a higher education institution for all ages. Its mission has evolved with time in the past 30 years, from the original part-time degree programmes for adult further education to the associate and sub-degree programmes and, later with the addition of full-time undergraduate education as well as postgraduate degrees, to meet the city’s increasing demand of knowledge. I am happy to have the privilege to work with OUHK to promote quality education as well as innovation and technology. On the occasion of the University’s 30th anniversary, may I wish OUHK continued success in contributing to the city’s knowledge-based economy.
