My congratulations to the Open University of Hong Kong on its 30^th anniversary!

In the last three decades, OUHK has grown from a pioneering distance-learning institute into one of Hong Kong’s major universities.

It has been a leader in offering an extensive choice of self-financing courses, and it has become a popular choice for full-time first degree and postgraduate students. But at the same time, it has built on its original foundations to offer part-time and distance-learning opportunities to people who might not otherwise be able to access university courses.

So as well as meeting our city’s rising demand for tertiary education, OUHK has developed a distinctive range of study models that makes learning accessible throughout the community.

Everyone associated with OUHK can be very proud of the Institution’s contribution to its graduates’ lives and careers, and to Hong Kong.
